ROLE:
As a social media manager, you will be the face of our company, managing communications in both directions. This digital-savvy employee is responsible for all communications, PR, social media, events, and content creation for the social networks and related blogs for a portfolio of up to 15 brands.
MISSIONS:
Strategy
- Implement and actively participate to the social media brand strategies, campaigns, and plans to build brand/company awareness
- Provide feedback from social media trends and research; relay it to business strategists
- Research new media platforms, trends, and industry opportunities
- Review success of campaigns and develop ways to improve
Content creation
- Write effective, concise copy for multiple platforms, websites, and social networks
- Manage company blog and editorial calendar that aligns with social updates
- Create engaging written and visual content for social media platforms
Management and moderation
- Create, maintain, and grow new and existing social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, Wechat, and others. Engage with the communities
- Review user generated comments and posts in a quick and timely manner
- Respond to comments, when appropriate, in order to foster a positive community and add value to the user’s experience.
- Enforce the Social Media Guidelines as defined by the brand.
- Escalate User Generated Content, where appropriate, to internal and client stakeholders.
- Ensure the group and its brand online reputation
Influencers programs
- Drive engagement with social media influencers
Listening & reporting
- Incorporate optimization strategies, analyze data, and research best ways to increase traffic
- Monitor social media progress using web analytic tools
- Using Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives
- Use social listening tools like Radian6, Mention, to generate insights
- Summarize insights and conversations to create actionable, client-facing reports that lead to optimization

Team leadership
- Participate constructively in inter-department and cross-service line communications
Profile:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and/or English
Master degree in marketing, digital, PR, or related field
1 to 2 years of social media management experience in a digital agency (preferable)
Excellent copywriting skills in French and/or English (mandatory)
Experience with Hootsuite, Buffer or others
Knowledge of the Adobe suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator)
Knowledge of Google Analytics
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Excellent analytical and time-management skills
Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects
You should want to start from blank and you’re willing to relay your expertise to non-marketing people.
An entrepreneurial spirit as well as a business development mind-set would be ideal in order to create and maintain qualitative relationships with your different points of contact.
