Business environment

The Monitoring Foundation department (MON) plays a key role in TPE organization, focusing on Metrics monitoring, anomaly detection and Event Management.

Within this department, TPE-DMM-MON-MAP (Monitoring and Analytics Platform) team’s key product is ARGOS Platform:

· Built on top of two opensource industry standards: Prometheus (powerful timeseries engine and database) and Grafana (dashboard creation/visualization User Interface).
· Providing a fully serviceable monitoring ecosystem to collect metrics from all the layers of our ecosystem (from system to application, may it be on ACS or in our legacy systems, may it be in Erding or in any other public/private datacenter) and allow users to create their own dashboards and alert on them.

Purpose

You will join a young and dynamic team, versed in Opensource – from usage to contribution. As a DEVOPS , you will play a key role in the evolution of our platform. You will learn and grow on new technologies (Golang, Kubernetes/Openshift, ACS), will study, use and contribute to the Opensource community and will develop new software to shape our platform (automatic deployment, multi DC, dynamical discovery, etc...). You will also provide support and guidance to all chains of users, from RnD, to SRE and Frontline to insure end-to-end value of the product.

Key accountabilities

· Define user requirements for development of new or improvement of existing software solutions.
· Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
· Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
· Model, design and implement databases as necessary.
· Develop software according to Amadeus Standards.
· Conduct unit, package and performance tests of the software and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
· Participate in the validation / acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine-tuning necessary to finalize the product.
· Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.
· Support the end user in the Production phase by debugging existing software solutions in response to Problem Tracking Records (PTR) and Change Requests (CR) issued from Product Management or Product Definition.

Education

· Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
· English fluent.

Specific competencies

Technical Skills

· Experience in designing and developing software programs.
· Experience with Cloud computing (Docker, OpenShift, etc…) is a plus.
· Experience with Prometheus or other Time Series Databases is a plus.
· Experience with Golang is a plus.
· Experience with Operations is a plus.
