Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct technical training programs using recognized training techniques and tools.

• Identify training needs and certification requirements relevant to the Technical Training Centre.

• Prepare training material and classroom agenda.

• Implement and monitor RPL for selected learners.

• Continuously evaluate and enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills.

• Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout the life cycle of a course.

• Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and the

     technical training QMS.

• Ensure apprentices complete and are competent in all the required training modules.

• Prepare apprentices for trade tests.

• Plan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-

     aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences and workshops.

• Identify internal and external technical training programs to address competency/learning gaps.

• Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needs & skills development.

• Liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design.

• Assist with the development of training aids such as learner guides, manuals, handbooks, practical   

     examples (mock ups), slide shows, hand-outs, etc.

• Inform employees about various technical training options.

• Design and develop individual training and development plans.

• Identify and assist struggling trainees.

• Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, on-the-job

     coaching and training, etc.

• Conduct training in two special process and two special operations training modules (Alstom    

     Transport).

• Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness. 

• Provide feedback to program participants and management on progress, implementation and

     evaluation of programs applicable to the technical training QMS.

• Maintain employee training records.

• Ensure that all EHS rules & regulations are adhered to.

• Ensure that all company rules & regulations are adhered to.

• Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external training providers.

• Keep abreast of all relevant training legislative changes.

• Keep up to date with current technical training design and development methodologies.

• Attend all the required meetings.

• Maintain discipline in the Technical Training Centre.

• Conduct risk assessments.

• Implement, drive & maintain APSYS program in the training centre.
