Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter – Commercial Division | Location - Perth

 

·  Be the lead Motor Fleet Underwriter on the ground in Perth

We’re seeking someone to step into a Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter role, based in our Perth office. The Commercial division is Allianz Australia’s largest distribution channel whose customers include local, national and international brokers, and buying groups throughout Australia.

 

This role will report into the Motor Fleet Underwriting Manager for the Western Region and play a key role in developing best in market relationships with the brokerages in the state. You could be coming from a broker, relationship manager, claims or underwriter background.

 

You'll be responsible for:

·  Underwriting motor fleet insurance risks, adhering to underwriting guidelines and standards,
·  Providing quotations for renewals and manage ongoing endorsements as well as assisting in rating of new business as requested.
·  Working effectively within the underwriting team and development staff to convert quality business to achieve profitable growth.
·  Monitoring performance to ensure key financial indicators are achieved, namely GWP and Profit measures.
·  Ensure business offering is aligned with divisional objectives, portfolio balance and Cycle Management strategies (growth and profit).
·  Keep abreast of market conditions and trends and maintain a market presence in their region and LoB community within Allianz. Provide feedback to stakeholders and take action to capitalise on business opportunities.

 

Important to your success:

·  You will have a solid basis of experience and technical knowledge of motor fleet risk.
·  You will ideally have relationships and a positive reputation in the WA market, or at least the personality to build a network.
·  Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to both build relationships and influence at all levels.
·  A strategic thinker with an ability to analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and implement credible solutions..
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
