Description of the job

A vacancy for a TOMSC3 - RF AIT Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space Barajas (Madrid). The successful applicant will join TOMSC3 department.

Tasks & accountabilities

Electrical integration and RF testing activities for Instrument/Payloads/Active Antennas RF testing.

TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·  Review electrical and RF test specifications
·  Perform electrical integration of flight equipment using specific automated test equipment and standard instrumentation (ex. multimeter, oscilloscope...)
·  Perform RF measurements on flight equipment using specific automated test equipment and standard instrumentation (ex. PNA-X, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Signal Generator and Power Meter)
·  Write step-by-step procedures for electrical integration and RF measurements
·  Develop and run test procedures and automated test sequence (test scripts) using "test systems" according to the RF test specifications during the different project AIT phases.
·  Analysis of test results, generation of test reports, contribution to Non Conformance Reports definition and support to failure investigations.
·  AIT activities coordination and planning
·  Test equipment / Test systems specification and technical follow-on
·  Participation in formal reviews with costumers.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

·  Flexible working time in normal shift but occasionally early/late/night shifts may be required.
·  In may be required to works during weekend in very specific situations.
·  Time flexibility is required.
·  Flexibility to work abroad during specific AIT phases

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND KOWLEDGE:

·  Use of "test systems" for automated RF testing
·  Use of standard instrumentation equipment as multimeters, oscilloscope, PNA-X, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Signal Generator and Power Meter.
·  Practical / Hands on experience in electrical and RF tests
·  Knowledge in test language and test environments for automated test sequences (test scripts) development.
·  Clean room working experience
·  Knowledge on space systems, active antennas, RF engineering, communications protocols, standard electrical interfaces
·  Knowledge in RF AIT processes.

OTHERS:

·  Able to work in an integrated AIT Team working in close cooperation with the Design/Engineering team
·  Able to work autonomously in a proactive and responsible manner
·  Able to work in one o more projects managing the workload
·  Able to work in a organized and ordered manner complying with the Company AIT and Quality standards.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Windows operating system
·  Microsoft office suite
·  Programming skills in different languages (C/C++, java, Python, …)
·  skills in different OS (Windows, Unix, …)
·  Linux operating system (desirable)
·  CATIA V5
·  Experience in managing people and conflicts.
·  Advanced level in English.
·  Advanced level in Spanish.
·  German or French would be an asset.
·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
·  Able to propose new ideas.
·  Able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
