Description of the job
A vacancy for TEMP Jigs & Tools Engineer has arisen within Airbus AOSL in Illescas.
The successful applicant will join (MANUFACTURING / Manufacturing Engineering).
The successful applicant should be able to work on shifts, if required.

Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
¤ Main objective of the department is to provide the End to End Technology and Jigs & Tools Industrialisation capabilities to
support CDT & Lines in reaching the Plants' industrial targets on Serial Programmes, through continuous optimization of
Industrial Systems.
¤ Define, develop and deliver innovative tooling systems for composite parts, in accordance with processes and planning
programs throughout the complete life of the product.
¤ Specify requirements of the defined Jigs and Tools to cover the process needs.
¤ Develop cost and lead time estimation for the required Jigs and Tools.
¤ Technical support to procurement process for subcontractor assessments or selection through how tooling specifications
content fits with each subcontractor's proposals.
¤ Participate in concurrent teams with engineering granting the manufacturability of the designs in Airbus production systems.
¤ Preparation of CATIA models for tooling design and manufacturing
¤ Planning and monitoring of the projects evolution, commitment, cash flow and internal engineering cost by periodical reviews.
¤ Follow up and support to subcontractors in tooling design phase and tooling manufacturing phase according to the tooling
design drawings and normative.
¤ Tooling design models reviews checking they are according to Airbus normative and standards.
¤ Lead and coordinate the acceptance process for new tools, ensuring the compliance of the specify requirements in agreement with quality organization.
¤ Adjustment of tools for setting up of processes support to the entry into service and along the production phases in concurrent
activity with maintenance and quality organization.
¤ Participate on shop floor daily activity and support problem solving on work preparation request.
¤ Support maintenance department with technical expertise to ensure the reliability of the manufacturing means implemented.
¤ Develop and perform tooling systems for trials of new components to implement incremental developments or new products
based on manufacturing innovations and improvements.
¤ Propose optimised tooling solutions challenging the innovative technologies and implement automation systems to get better
the recurrent costs and/or ergonomic conditions along the manufacturing process.
¤ Deliver tooling for improvements projects looking for solutions to NRC Improvements, Health and Safety Improvements and
NQC Improvements.
¤ Create and modify tooling CATIA designs for composite part manufacturing, final operations process, handling and transport
tooling.
¤ Apply AOS tools and techniques.
This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
· Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline.
· At least 3 - 4 years of experience in a related area.
· English and Spanish must be negotiation level.
· Strong communication and negotiation skills.
· Adaptability to change and teamwork skills.
· Composites Materials Manufacturing process
· Build technologies for Tooling. (Welding, machining, measuring, assembly, Drilling, Milling, Riveting)
· NRC Manufacturing Tooling cost estimation
· Illescas S19 A350 Trimming Tool specific technology full barrel. (Knowledge for loading the part, tolerance location and alignment system, trimming and drilling operations)
· Auxiliary tooling for trimming and drilling Illescas s19 A350 process (trimming templates, drilling templates, tracing templates)
· Illescas S19 A350 Suport and Turning Tool
· Illescas s19 A350 Work platforms for Final operations
· Illescas s19 A350 Handling means for Jigs manipulation (AGV)
· Fluent English & Spanish
· Catia design for tooling
· SAP SPA transaction
· Skills for managing internal inputs and coordinate them with Suppliers
· Project Management skills
· Airbus Standards for Jigs and Tools (FU.IN. 03.02)
· Knowledge about Jigs & Tools managing and acceptance procedures
· RC Improvement project contribution experience
· CE conformity and RD 1215 adaptation for manufacturing means general ideas
