Description of the job

A position as Structural test engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join TEAST-TL3 department.

Tasks & accountabilities

The tasks and responsibilities will be structural test mainly static and fatigue:
* Analyse the received test requirements from customers.
*Identify, propose and document the necessary test means regarding test requirements.
*Prepare and execute the tests according to requirements in term of time, quality, cost and safety.
*Analyse and validate test measurements and elaborate the test results report.
*Know all the procedures relative to structural testing.
*Support calibration of all equipment's used in the tests, update calibration documentation and support the corresponding audits and reporting required by quality organization.
*Maintenance of all laboratory means used for testing: hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, electric and electronic.
* Improvement of the tools used at Mechanical Test Laboratory, in order to get better results in cost, quality and time assuring safety in testing campaigns.

Required skills

We are looking candidates with the following skill and experience:
*Educated to Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree.
*Experience in testing laboratory for large test (full scale)
*Experience in systems integration (hardware).
*Demonstrable experience in systems for full scale: MTS, HBM, ....
*Know of testing application, such as: Catman interprice, Aero pro, ...
*Experience in PLC programming (SIMATIC, MOVICOM,...)
*Experience in equipment communication.
*English: advanced.
