Description of the job

A vacancy for a Junior Engineer eager to work in a dynamic team and an international environment has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe.

The successful applicant will join Design & Development department.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  The design and development of the mathematical and computational models (Loads Models and Simulation Models) required for the Static Loads Domain activities.
·  To establish the appropriate design criteria related to Static Loads based on operational requirements and determine the calculation conditions both in flight and on the ground necessary for the design of the structure.
·  The calculation of all loads deliverables of the Domain (design loads, fatigue loads, 1g loads, systems failures loads, miscellaneous loads, etc.) in the required form: correlated loads, forces and moments distributions, pressure distributions, nodal loads, local load factors, etc...
·  To prepare the specification, monitor and analyze the Flight Tests necessary for validation of the loads models.
·  To validate and formally justify to the airworthiness authorities the compliance with certification criteria for the airplane static loads, and provide clearance recommendations.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a degree level (or equivalent) in industrial or aeronautical engineering or a related discipline.
·  Less than 2 years of experience in engineering.
·  English and Spanish must be negotiation level.
