Description of the job
A vacancy for a Navigation System Engineering team has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Madrid (Getafe).
The successful applicant will join TAE department
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
· Support feasibility studies for new products/user needs, etc.
· Good knowledge of Navigation systems: Navaids (VOR, DME, ILS, TACAN, AIRTAC), GNSS (GPS, Galileo, Glonass) and Flight Management System.
· Participate in capturing customer requirements at Aircraft Level
· Requirement Management; Creation and maintenance of the RVTM
· Allocate these requirements to the Navigation System
· Define the Architecture and specifications of the Navigation system being part of the avionics suite (an element of a marketed solution).
· Lead the Safety process at system level (DAL, FHA, SSA, etc.)
· Elaborate engineering design documentation
· Define Navigation System Validation and Verification process.
· Prepare test campaign sequencing, test procedures & facilities. Define test equipment and tooling requirements and ensure their timely availability. Perform and/or monitor tests and perform real-time analysis of test results. Release test analysis & correlation reports after test completion.
· Be responsible of navigation systems integration activities
· Support the whole design process including design review meetings (internal, supplier and customer milestones)
· Support Certification and Qualification process
· Support Technical Publications (AFM, FCOM, etc.)
· Support transversal areas such as Services, Production, Procurement, etc.
· Be at the state of the art of international regulations: ICAO, FAA, EASA, EUROCONTROL, etc.
Perfil buscado
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
· Between 2 and 3 years of experience in systems engineering or development of avionics system, preferably Navigation systems.
· Chartered Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent
· Good communication skills and pro-active approach to problem solving
· Strong Spanish and English skills, both verbal and written
· Ability to work under strict timescales as part of an integrated and multifunctional team
· International project experience
· Assertiveness
· Open minded and active to new challenges
