Description of the job

A vacancy as an Operations Support Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Madrid. The successful applicant will join TASTO3
department.

TASTO mission is to design, develop, integrate and deliver on time, on cost and on quality the Training and Operations Support solutions (including course development, CBT, Operational documentation/support and conduct of training) required by Airbus Defence & Space to operate efficiently and safely their Airbus Defence & Space aircraft.
To achieve TASTO mission, TASTO3 is the Airbus Defence & Space Derivatives Programme unit and is in charge of TASTO mission for Airbus Defence & Space Derivatives A/Cs. To achieve its Mission, TASTO3 is organized in the following functions: Aircrew Training Development, Maintenance Training Development, Training Delivery, Operational Publications and Operations Support, Flight Operations Tools and Flight Operations Services.
The Job-Holder is in charge of TASTO3 Flight Operations Tools.
Main accountabilities are to:

·  Deliver on-time/quality the Flight Operations Tools products and services contracted by the Airbus Defence & Space Customers in accordance with the requirements defined by the Programmes directives.
·  Act as the company's responsible for the Flight Operations Tools related activities for Airbus Derivatives, including in front of the customer when so required, and the operational interface with the rest of company units, particularly with Airbus SAS/NavBlue, for such activities.
·  Lead/Manage the TASTO3 Flight Operations Tools team including work packages subcontracted to third parties.
·  Report on-time/quality to TASTO3 management on the activities, risks and issues under its perimeter.
·  Develop TASTO3 products belonging to Flight Operations Tools as defined under the applicable processes.
·  Support the update of Flight Operations Tools development processes.
·  Represent TASTO3 at forums relevant to Flight Operations Tools (i.e.: MISI, Flight Safety Committee, etc...).

Tasks & accountabilities

The FAF Training & Operations Program Manager represents Airbus with the following main missions:
› To design, develop and deliver the course control documentation and the courseware for pilots, sensor operators and maintenance technicians.
› To design, develop and deliver the suite of training devices (simulators) for pilots, AROs and maintenance technicians.
› To deliver all the type training courses and continuation training for pilots, AROs, maintenance technicians and remaining profiles.
› To manage the definition, design, development, integration and delivery of the complete MRTT training solution required by the Customer.
› To manage the Customer relationships regarding the complete training solution.
› To co-chair the Training Development Working Group with the Customer.
› To ensure the contractual deliverables on time, on cost and on quality.
› To control, monitor and manage the costs and the assigned annual budget.
› To control, monitor and manage the performance of the subcontractor.
› To control, monitor and manage the performance of the supplier for the different deliverables.
› To manage the risks and related mitigation actions regarding the complete training solution.
› To report hierarchically to the Head of TASTO3 in a monthly basis.
› To report functionally to Services Programme Office (TASL) in a monthly basis.
› To report functionally to Programme Management Office (TALC) when so required.
› To report to the Customer when so required.
› To develop a continuous improvement and lessons learnt culture within the MRTT FAF Training Program.
› To support the Services Program Management Office (TASL) in order to contribute to the good integration and interrelationships between all the Support Systems.
› To manage the design, development, integration and delivery on time and on quality of the products and services required by MRTT FAF to TASTO3, related to Operating Publications and Ops. Support, to operate efficiently and safely their Airbus Derivatives aircraft:

·  Flight Crew Operating Manuals (FCOM, CCOM, MCOM)
·  Other Mission Operating Manuals (MPS, MIDS, Weight and Balance, etc…)
