Description of the job
AIRBUS and Universidad Carlos III are organizing the MASTER IN AIRFRAME TECHNOLOGY, a full-time program that includes 11 months (August is not included) of internship at AIRBUS facilities and a master degree by UC3M.
MASTER
The Master in Airframe Technology contains the following modules:
· Presentation, Invited Lectures and Tutoring (2.5 ECTS)
· Market drivers & Requirements (1.0 ECTS)
· Overall Aircraft Design (Aircraft Loads) (2.5 ECTS)
· Finite Element Modeling (4.3 ECTS)
· Computer Aided Design (Catia) (4.3 ECTS)
· Aircraft Design (9.6 credits)
· Structural Tests and Mechanical Characterization of Aeronautical Components (4.9 ECTS)
· Manufacturing of Aeronautical Structures (4.1 ECTS)
· Mass & Cost Aspects in Aircraft Design (3.7 credits)
· Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (2.0 ECTS)
· Practical Exercise (4.9 ECTS)
· Master Thesis (6 ECTS)
Master tuition fees: 8000€ (possibility of payment installments per semester)
The Master in Airframe Technology will start in January 2018 and will finish after 1 academic year. The University lectures will take place from Monday to Thursday between16:30 - 20:30. Some sessions might be organized on Friday.
INTERNSHIP
The Master in Airframe Technology program includes a part-time paid internship at the AIRBUS Spain facilities. During the internship period (11 months), the students will solve real airframe technology projects under the supervision of a Company Mentor.
Internship hours per week: 35 hours
Grant: 875€/month.
In addition to the real-work experience, the industrial placement helps Master in Airframe Technology students to create a network of contacts.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Master in Airframe Technology is aimed at professionals working in the aerospace industry (including AIRBUS employees and subcontractors), and recent graduates of Master Programes in any branch of engineering related to aerospace and structures:
· Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering
· Industrial Engineering (all specialties)
· Civil Engineering
· Other related studies with an emphasis on design and structures calculation.
Degree students (4 years) could be considered if they have a relevant experience of 3 years.
Languages:
English: Negotiation Level
Spanish, French and/or German will be taken into consideration
