Description of the job
Following a thorough diagnosis, in which some major suppliers had contributed, Airbus has launched an initiative to boost Supplier Quality Performance, covering all flying product commodities. It has been decided a shift from a reactive to a more preventive culture in order to ensure final customer satisfaction.
The project aims at bringing more resources, experience and expertise into the Airbus team involved in Supply Chain and Quality management from supplier selection through design to in-service. In particular, this company-wide project encompasses creation of new jobs and positions in Procurement Supply Chain and Quality management, and also in other functions (such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality). Relevant methods & processes will also be adapted to systematically apply standards (such as APQP), focus on manufacturability and quality in early design and better take into account final customers' perspective throughout the value chain.
A vacancy for a Supply Chain and Quality Manager has arisen within Airbus in POST.
POS supplies Aerostructure products to our Airbus Manufacturing sites on time & on quality.
POS acts as a team with Airbus Manufacturing sites, Airbus Buyers and our Suppliers towards industrial excellence.
Within POS, POST acts for Box & Fairings WP including Composite Detailed Parts.
You will be the privileged interface to supplier End-to-end and responsible to deploy relevant methods to ensure sustainable prevention of quality issues.
As Supply Chain Quality Manager your main accountabilities are:
· Supply Chain and Quality contribution to the MFT and Implementation of MFT strategy (incl. supplier development)
· Defining and implementing suppliers/products surveillance plan
· Ensuring compliance of suppliers and products to applicable requirements with all relevant contributors
· Ensuring On Time and on Quality deliveries
· Raising risks, actions follow-up, reporting and escalation in case on deviation to industrial target (incl. in-service issues)
· Identifying quality activities to be managed with Supply Chain Quality Specialist
The role will also involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Tasks & accountabilities
ENGAGE SUPPLIERS
· Contribute and Support MFT (Multi-Functional Team) and deployed related strategy
· Contribute to supplier selection and contract setup (customization of Airbus applicable requirements and procedural documents, Logistic conditions,…)
· Contribute to Change management evaluation (supplier change request and Airbus driven change)
· Contribute to deployment of SC&Q standards, methods & tools (APQP*, AirSupply, eConcessions,…)
· Contribute to supplier contract/claims management (incl. evolution of requirements, processes, tools)
CONTROL SUPPLIERS
· Verify supplier compliance with Airbus and appropriate Aviation Authorities requirements
· Establish the industrial risk analysis and corresponding surveillance plan which will be monitored and adjusted constantly
· Report and escalate issues
· Identify supplier recovery, improvement and development needs
· Secure convergence to industrial Maturity target (supplier capability & capacity)
· Monitor the supplier on Time, on Quality performance and launch relevant actions (protect Airbus production units and supply chain, follow-up supplier root cause eradication, …)
The previous activities are done by using the appropriate means such as:
· supplier deliverables' proofreading and inspections
· methods (incl. APQP*, Transfer of Work, Supplier Audits & Assessments, Quality Standards)
· reviews (incl. ASR/GRAMS/GRESS milestones, actions plan follow-up meetings, etc...)
· missions/projects (SQIP, Supplier Development Manager missions etc…)
MANAGE PRODUCT NON CONFORMITIES
such as NC, Concessions, Quality Survey Reports, Safety related Items (SARI), In-service issues and Events to eradicate non quality in a sustainable way with appropriate means (as listed before).
In addition, you have to update the corresponding tools for each activity and Support internal and external audits and EASA activities
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
· Engineering University Degree
· Solid experience ideally in one or more of the following areas: Supply Chain & Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Customer Support
· Supply Chain fundamentals: APICS Basics or equivalent
· Engineering background is an asset
· Quality Standards/Methods :
o Knowledge of problem solving methods (8D, PPS, …) and process improvement skills (Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), …)
o Knowledge of quality standards and regulations (QMS, Nadcap, EMS…) is an asset
· Basic knowledge on project management
· Solid communication and presentation skills
· Stakeholders management
· Leadership skills
· Autonomous and organized
· Advanced level of English
· French and German language is an asset
