A vacancy for Ground Support Equipment has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe.

Tasks & accountabilities

Main activities of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) are dealing with the following Programs under Military Aircraft Services (TAS) - Airbus Defence and Space (Airbus DS) responsibility: A400M, Combat Aircrafts, Airbus Military Derivatives (MRTT's) and Medium and Light Aircraft (M&L).
¤ Identification and Development (when needed) of the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) required to support the Operation and Maintenance of the aircraft, systems and components under Airbus DS responsibility: establishment of general technical requirements, preparation of Technical Specifications, support to Procurement department in Tendering Process for Supplier selection, Design follow-up, Prototype Manufacturing follow-up, On-Aircraft Validation (OAV) -Qualification and Compatibility Tests- and Documentation (2D Drawings, 3D Models, Operation Manual, Maintenance Manual, … etc.).
¤ Preparation of GSE recommendations for the Customers, as part of the Logistics Support Proposal included in the aircraft Offers. GSE recommendations are prepared according to the Customers specific requirements (operation and maintenance capability to be acquired by the Customer) and Final GSE lists to be procured are mutually agreed between the Customers and Airbus DS during Logistics Provisioning Conferences.
¤ Evaluations (Site Surveys) of the Customer existing capabilities (concerning GSE) in their Operating Air Bases and/or Maintenance Centers in order to prepare the GSE recommendations in accordance with these capabilities.
¤ Provide the Customers (GSE user) with technical assistance during the service life of the GSE (In-Service Support).
¤ Configuration Management: evaluation of A/C Design Changes in order to identify potential impacts on the GSE.
¤ Supporting other Departments concerning GSE subjects: Technical Information and Data (TASST) for aircraft maintenance documentation production: Illustrated Tools & Test Equipment Manual (ITEM) and Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM); Engineering Support (TASSS) and MRO Network and Field Services Representatives (TASSM) for GSE in-service issues; Material Services (TASM) for GSE logistics issues; Training & Flight Operations Services
(TAST) for specific GSE training courses; Services Procurement (TOPIR) for GSE tendering and acquisition; … etc.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to University degree level in Aeronautical Engineer or a related discipline.
·  Proficiency CATIA knowledge
·  Previous experience in: Ground Support Equipment, engineering or logistics support
·  Availability to travel
·  English: negotiation level. Spanish: intermediate level
