A vacancy for a FWSAR IM Application specialist has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Airbus Defence & Space Barajas. The successful applicant will join TOIAC department.

Tasks & accountabilities

It is an exciting time to join the Information Management (IM) Team. IM is the Information Technology (IT) business enabler and unique IM Business Partner for Airbus Defense and Space.
As a central function, IM is involved in all business processes and enables technical as well as management careers. IM covers a wide range of state-of-the-art technologies and positions ranging from IT infrastructure, application support to governance or strategic consultancy. FWSAR contract highlights:
Multi-billion contract for search and rescue aircraft, to cover an area of >10M km2 & >1600 events/year!
Requires an Electronic Information Exchange (EIE) between customer (DND) and Contractor.
IM responsibilities:

·  Delivery of the EIE, consisting of a Collaborative Environment (CE) and the Electronic Data Exchange (EDE), including integration with the Customer
·  Delivery of the IETM
·  Modification and integration of industrial systems for supporting the contract

EIE highlights:

·  Integrates the customer (DND), AirPro ( Canada Subsidiarie ) and Airbus DS IT systems
·  Includes real-time data exchange between all involved parties
·  Real-time IM aircraft maintenance configuration system and maintenance data reconciliation
·  Access to the Collaborative Environment from 10 locations in 2 countries
·  Secure access to 5 Airbus DS internal systems from 9 different locations
·  9 contractual tools to be developed and integrated – with 78 customer ICDs!
·  12 Airbus DS tools integrated with/ affected by EIE
·  Stepwise delivery – First version in June 2017
·  EIE fully operational in just 3 years ( July 2019 )
·  Key component for the A/C operation

You will work closely with Business, IS/IT Project/ Program managers, and other IT teams to turn requirements into a solution that fit for purpose in the FWSAR IS/IT Program.
Your main responsibilities will include:

·  To achieve the IS/IT goals within the contract requirements ( Scope, Quality, Cost and Time)
·  To Support the Planning and Design phases of the IM Program
·  To Support the integration tests developing test plans and procedures and identifying open issues
·  To monitor the progress and provide continous visibility

Required skills

Previous experience in:
Information Systems :3 to 5 years
Project management :3 to 5 years
