Description of the job

A vacancy for FAL AD&DC Production engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid).
The successful applicant will join MANAGEMENT / Leadership.
The successful applicant should be able to work on shifts, if required.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Provide shop floor support in order to solve issues during manufacturing processes.
·  Update documentation and technical instruction according to the needs.
·  Provide detailed information to be given to the design.
·  Support the multi-functional team for the problem solving and improvement process.
·  Manufacturing structure and process, associated documentation (work order, technical instruction, job card…), updated process.
·  Manufacturing feedback (KAIZEN, Practical Problem Solving).
·  Updated documentation, technical solution, improvement proposal and implementation.
·  Support and document aircraft scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance inspections as well as discrepancy fixing.
·  Prepare and deliver the aircraft to Flight Test Organization to carry out ground and flight operations.
·  Prepare and deliver the aircraft to final customer.
·  Aircraft handling and servicing.
·  Identify materials and tools to do aircraft maintenance.
·  Aircraft Handling and ground test support.
·  Prepare and carry out working parties abroad.
·  Production engineer, during aircraft conversion into MRTT, in particular disassembling and aircraft stress free:
·  Support the department to prepare aircrafts for flight and ground tests.
·  Analysis scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance activities to identify tools and materials.
·  Document maintenance and aircraft delivery.
·  Support the department during aircraft delivery process, including:

i. Outstanding work, inspections and correction tasks performed on the aircraft.
ii. Maintenance activities.
iii. Aircraft preparation for PATM/CAM test realization.
iv. Preparation for Ferry Flight activities.
v. Aircraft conversion, disassembly and stress free.

·  Deliver aircraft on time, cost and quality with regards to: ground and flight test campaigns, aircraft painting, delivery and parts and components disassembly during conversion into a MRTT, as well as putting the aircraft in stress free.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline.
·  At least 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing.
·  Previous experience in Lean would be valued as a plus.
·  English and Spanish must be negotiation level.
·  German and French would be desirable.
·  Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
·  Open to change and able to adapt in a changing environment.
·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
·  High negotiation and initiative skills.
