Satellite Production is the backbone of the creation and delivery of our Space products throughout the world. From the manufacture of our own parts onsite using expertise and often revolutionary technology to assembling our parts together with parts sourced from industry leading providers. We integrate these onto the spacecraft and test everything to make sure that when it leaves the Earth’s atmosphere it is the best possible product we can create.

Production control is at the heart of this interacting with all other departments, from design to procurement, shop floor operators to management ensuring that the schedules are accurate and achievable, that all of the parts are at the right place at the right time and all risks and opportunities highlighted.

Tasks:

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

·  Maintain production plans to identify and report potential risks
·  Maintain Project visibility, communication and reporting while attending weekly Project meetings as required
·  Generate Project Production Go Meeting & shortage reports, add input and attend the weekly meetings as a process stakeholder
·  Ensure customer orders and shipments are processed according to the established schedule
·  Work with cross-functional teams to complete job orders on-time
·  Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all inputs are available when required and critical activities known
·  Monitor and align the Material Requirement Plan to the overall Production Plan allocating/ordering stock as required

Our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

·  Currently studying an Engineering, Production/Manufacturing or Project Management degree
·  Interest/skills in tools/systems
