A temporal vacancy for an Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe.
The successful applicant will join Engineering Department.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
The candidate will be in charge of control and manage the E3 (Electromagnetic Environment Effects) associated to electrical and electronic equipment, such as EMC/EMI, LIE - Lightning Indirect Effects, NEMP – Nuclear Electromagnetic Pulse, HIRF – High Intensity Radiated Field, EMRADHAZ - Electromagnetic radiation hazards, HERP - Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Personnel, HERF - Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Fuel, HERO- Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance and Electrostatic charge control for systems and equipment
Main tasks to be performed in this position are:

·  Specification of EMC Design Directives for A/C installation.
·  Definition of EMC/HIRF/LIE/ESD qualification requirements at equipment/system level.
·  Support to system designers and qualification follow up.
·  Test result validation and support to equipment manufacturers in solving non-compliances.
·  Definition of aircraft functional GTR (Ground Test Requirements) to cover equipment qualification deficiencies.
·  HIRF, EMRAD HAZ, NEMP, LIE analysis supporting the design activities, proposing technical improvements and validating possible deviations.
·  Collaboration with manufacturing departments in the development of EMH protection of electrical harnesses (overbraiding process): consultancy, specification of braid configurations and testing.
·  E3 test plans and test execution at equipment, system and A/C level (including full functional a/c intrasystem testing).
·  Support to A/C testing to determine HIRF/LIE transfer functions (Low level measurement). Setup definition and results exploitation.
·  Aircraft EMC Certification (civil and military). Definition of certification plan and proposal of Means of Compliance. Roles of Designated Certification Specialist and Compliance Verification Engineer.
·  Follow-up and certification of all a/c Modifications within DOA rules.
·  Electrical bonding GTRs specification for application at a/c FAL (Final Assembly Line).

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level in Telecomunications, Electronic Engineering or Phisics.
·  Experience in EMC
·  Experience in programming and sw development (matlab, fortran,...)
·  Spanish & English advanced
