Description of the job

A position for a Software Engineer for Eurofighter Tranche-1 Avionics has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe. The successful applicant will join TEAXC-TL5 EF SW Development team, and will be based in CLAEX (Spanish Base Air, Torrejón de Ardoz MADRID).

Tasks & accountabilities

The position main tasks and responsibilities will be, for the Eurofighter Weapon System:

·  From the Detailed Design, Coding activities for Avionics embedded systems in the Eurofighter Weapon System, providing Versión Description Document as required.
·  Implementing the necessary Coding & Unit Testing for Safety and Mission Critical embedded systems, providing Unit Test Description and Unit Test Report documents, as required in the CLAEX SW Development process.
·  Stablishing traceability between Software Requirements/Software Process/Unit Test as required in the SW Development process.
·  Performing the required test on the Eurofighter T1 benches during the SW Development process.
·  Supporting other groups involved in the CLAEX SW Development process, in order to fulfill the overall functionality of the SW product.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated in a Computer Engineer or equivalent discipline.
·  Experience in Avionics Embedded Systems SW Development.
·  Experience in the following programing languages: ADA, C, C++.
·  Knowledge and experience of the following tools: DOORS (Control Requirements Tool), VAULT (Control Configuration Tool), VectorCAST (Unit Test Tool).
·  NATO SECRET Clearance is required.
·  Advanced level in English.
·  Advanced level in Spanish.
·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
·  Able to propose new ideas.
