Description of the job

A vacancy for a Buyer has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Getafe. You will join Aerostructure Procurement department.
You will be part of a dynamic organisation dealing with new technology, working for all programs, all plants, in an international environment.

Tasks & accountabilities

Within the global scope of the Composite Detail Parts MFT the jobholder is responsible, for the Suppliers/contracts assigned (see C-Dimensions) to:

·  Manage the activities of A2131 (Define Procurement & Subcommodity Strategy), A2133 (Supplier Selection & Contracting) and A2134 (Supplier Monitoring & Contract Management), including appropriate Risk Management (as per AP5259). In particular, within a New Development context, ensures that all parameters assumed by Program are adhered to.
·  Support interface functions and related activities as defined in A2135 (Control Suppliers) and A2136 (Supply External Products & Services)
·  Provide and manage the best purchasing conditions for Airbus for the products and/or suppliers under his/her responsibility, under consideration of the Airbus Procurement strategy.
·  Deliver the Purchasing Plan (including Value Creation projects) within his/her scope of activity.
·  Additional accountability if the jobholder has the role of Supplier Relationship manager (SRM): The jobholder is accountable for ensuring that all activities, projects and information pertaining to the suppliers under his/her responsibility are properly coordinated across Airbus.

By delegation of the MFT Leader:
A. Contribute to the activities of A2131: develop a market strategy together with the MFT Leader, under consideration of the Airbus Group/Airbus Procurement strategy and under consideration of the Supplier Strategy towards the concerned suppliers as defined by the SSM (Strategy Supplier Manager) and the SRM (Supplier Relationship Manager).
B. Contribute to the activities of A2131: Identify and aggregate demand, Supply market research and assessment, Supplier assessment.
C. Conduct the following activities of A2133: Initiate Call For Tender (CFT), Gather all required information, plan CFT, Propose pre-selected suppliers for CFT to the MFT, Ensure NDAs are in place, Develop CFT pack (or contribute to the development of the CFT Pack), Issue the CFT to the suppliers, Clarify the supplier queries, Receive supplier tenders, analyze proposals & evaluate suppliers, Negotiate contracts, Conduct eAuction (if relevant), Conduct all relevant activities of the contract signature step.
D. Conduct, or contribute to, the activities of A2134: Implement contract / business relationship, Monitor supplier performance in cooperation with QSC, Monitor contract execution, Manage contract amendments, Conduct all relevant activities of the contract expiry/termination step and activities resulting of suppliers failure of the contract performance.
E. Contribute to AOP elaboration within his/her scope of activities.
F. Conduct, or contribute to, all projects impacting the contractual terms and conditions for the products and/or suppliers under his/her responsibility, eg: Value Creation A350 RC convergence and Boost+ projects, Transfer of Work projects, claims or liabilities management.
G. Additional activities for the jobholder in his/her role as Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM): Contribute to the definition of the Airbus strategy towards suppliers, conduct transversal projects (enablement, incoterms, tools & processes), consolidate supplier data (contractual, financial, evaluation) across Airbus and co-sign the Contract Validation Form in the frame of new contract, contract renewal and amendment.

OUTPUTS:
A. The jobholder will provide the best purchasing conditions for Airbus for the products and/or suppliers under his/her responsibility.
B. The jobholder will ensure robust contractual relationships for the products and/or suppliers under his/her responsibility, within the sub-commodity strategy.
C. The jobholder delivers value creation components (savings, improvement of performance) for the products and/or suppliers under his/her responsibility
D. In his/her SRM (Supplier Relationship Manager) role: delivery of transversal / trans-national projects, and consolidated supplier data.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 5 year degree specialising in Business / Engineering (or equivalent)
·  At least 3 years' experience in a similar position,
·  Knowledge of contract management and negotiation,
·  Technical background on composite materials,
·  Team spirit and interpersonal skills
·  Ability to work as member of an integrated team,
·  Agility,
·  Language Skills: Negotiation level of English.
