Description of the job

A vacancy for an AOG Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe.
The successful applicant will join TASM department.

The jobholder will be the main focal point for a specific platform (M&L, MRTT or A400M) managing the AOG customer portfolio.

End-to-end coordination and liaison with other organizations within the supply chain from customer material request to delivery at their facilities and acceptance

Guarantee customer satisfaction through an on-time, on-quality and on-cost service, providing visibility through all stages of the supply chain. Including the coordination with the rest of entities involved: logistic engineering, operational procurement, proprietary parts, logistics.,etc, and performing their functions providing faster solutions in order to ensure 24 x 7 autonomous quality service

Deliver performance goals expected by the company in accordance with the identified service level, meeting customer requirements and expectations in materials domain and ensure the fulfilment of contractual requirements of a specific customer or group pf programs.

Support the FISS contracts, retrofit campaigns and spare contracts to achieve materials commitments.

Interchange of information between AOG Managers and H.O. AOG to achieve department synergies promoting an integrated and solid structure in view of on-call service shifts and backup situations.

Leadership of platform team guaranteeing the correct service during all shifts covering 24/7 level required

Tasks & accountabilities

Description:

·  Customer based:
·  Act as main AOG focal point for owned platform. The jobholder embraces the challenge to satisfy our Customers with best-in-class material availability and a profitable and effective organization inside Airbus Defence and Space Services.
·  Ensure on-time, on-quality and on-cost service. The jobholder runs a report with all required information covering all Material Support activities for AOG, Critical requests and major events
·  Provide end-to-end visibility
·  Customer perception, lessons learnt analysis and actions execution. i.e. Verify and follow up customer complaint, analyse root problem and defining corrective measures ensuring on time on quality claim resolution. Resolve discrepancies analysing root causes and defining corrective measures
·  Ensure high level of customer satisfaction. Anticipate customer needs: Realization of historic reports of AOG requests (quantitative based)and security stock dimensioning proposal based on self-experience (qualitative based)
·  Manage crisis events: AOG+ material coordination, unscheduled occurrences, special mission, major events, etc.
·  Support Free Demand, FISS and IMSS customers. Deep knowledge of spares, repairs, AGES (Ground Support Equipment) and FISS contracts. Continuous monitoring of pending items in customer's fleets. Verifying the availability of all the needed information and reporting internal and external customer. The jobholder initiates and establishes an adequate planning and reporting structure with all required information covering all Material Support activities for the selected platform.
·  Support special tasks: MRO, Working Parties, Retrofits, EIS phase, Commercial campaigns, training phase, etc.
·  Unpredictable ramp up of requests and crisis management solutions: Requests that come out of relative failure to meet OTD from other orgs i.e. client lack of planning, routine late deliveries (IPLs, MROs, Flight line, ADA, backlog, high management commitments, comm. Letters). Responsibility of managing critical orders and routine orders that become critical in order to achieve OTD targets
·  Internal ADS AOG Managers and H.O team
·  Internal coordination meetings
·  Take over from colleague responsibilities during one-man on call service
·  Update and training of AOG members involved in On-call service
·  Report to Head of AOG department
·  Discuss hot topics and prioritize order portfolio
·  Platform management focused towards flow-down team members:
·  Main team management functions and task prioritization
·  Lead team coordination meetings ( shift change take-overs)
·  Ensure correct training of the team members and information sharing (new tools, unique Way of Working, etc.)
·  Team focal point for escalations and major issues
·  Distribution of human resources (responsibilities of members, Hot Topics, back up support, etc)
·  Supervision of main service executions :

o Receive AOG orders from internal and external customers and be Front Office managing every customer need
o Understanding demand management and guaranteeing the validity of demand sent to suppliers
o Manage and follow up the customer order through SAP, involving updates and communications improvements with the customer in order to offer the best and most transparent service
o Verify the availability of all the requested parts in order to provide the best and shortest lead time solution
o Manage AOG request, evaluating through IT engineering and logistics tools (STILO, SPRINT.net, Biblioteca Tecnica, IPC, Airnav, AIMS, SAP, etc) the availability of every requested part or even the availability of another kind of solution: interchangeable item, Next higher assemblies, alternative parts, OH, providing best and shortest solution to the customer
o Following up the complete process in order to ensure the AOG delivery in 48 hours or in the shortest lead time, coordinating the efforts of all involved areas in the supply chain monitoring their performance in a daily basis (i.e. Manufacturing, Operational Procurement, Reception, Quality, Dispatching…) Encompassing PO monitoring: PO placement; Delay analysis; Daily recovery plan management…
o Offer solutions off the chain for every urgency when parts are not available coordinating other departments like Production, MRO, Repairs Dpt, Technical Assistance
o Active involvement in defining/negotiating logistics flow

·  Role within Supply Chain:
·  Responsible in End to end process follow up and improvement (new tools, new WoWs, LEAN, etc)
·  Interaction with all ADS and organisations ( PTS, MTACS, MSET, MSG, MSQ, MSMT, MSC, MDS, MSD , MSMO, MB, MDT ,etc ) acting as platform AOG focal point.
·  Evaluate current portfolio and prioritize aligning other departments. The job holder is responsible for advising the rest of organizations the risk associated to a specific customer or group of programs and the mitigation plan.
·  Report AOG parts status on a regular manner (Hot Topics, AOG+, No-Go AOGs)
·  Ensure and report performance in accordance with company KPIs
·  The jobholder contributes to the overall TAS performance on EBIT, Revenues, Order Intake, Horizon, especially for Spares and Repair. Comply with Target and Budget Letter, by developing and implementing simplifications to reduce main cost factors (hours, material levy, non quality cost).
·  The job holder is responsible for ensuring that risks related to the supply of products and services are managed in accordance with the internal ADS procedures and
·  Customers' contracts, e.g. by setting up and maintaining a risk register detailing all risks and related mitigation actions.
·  The jobholder completes the roadmap for the Airbus Defense and Space integration according to plan by completeness, correctness, on time availability and synchronization with other departments.
·  Ensure not only the logistic flow on time, on cost and on quality but also the tax compliance attained from the AOG material deliveries ( inventory turnover,duty and tax payments on time avoiding future fiscal compensations or penalties).

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level in Engineering.
·  English: negotiation level.
·  Experience in Logistics and Supply activities.
