Description of the job

A vacancy for an Airborne and Simulation Products Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid).

The successful applicant will join the Development & Test Environment department.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Accountable for Airborne and Simulation Products specification, design, integration, verification and first level problem solving.
·  Manages product configuration definition.
·  Coordinates development (Simulink Models, HW and SW) of avionics and simulation application.
·  Delivers Product Delivery Note and documentation for certification.
·  Accountable for ISSM HW component of specification, design, integration, verification.
·  Responsible for 2nd level HW problem solving in simulation platforms.
·  Experience with simulation products for A/C0 Simulator: ISSM and ITB.
·  Experience in Definition/Specification of DO254 Hardware management plan for equipment design.
·  Specialized activities on DO254 full life cycle data upon to certification.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a degree level (or equivalent) in industrial or aeronautical engineering or a related discipline.
·  3 to 5 years of experience in engineering.
·  English and Spanish must be negotiation level, written and spoken.
