Description of the job

• Implement the AIRBUS Procurement actions on a portfolio of aerostructure products for all Airbus programmes. The job holder contributes to Multi Functional Team (MFT) and Sub-Commodity Multi-Functional Team activities. The job holder supports the definition of and implements the PSTG Sub-Commodity Strategies and is in charge of the Procurement Process for his/her perimeter.

Tasks & accountabilities

By delegation of the MFT Leader:

A. Contribute to the activities of A2131 “Define Procurement and Sub-commodity Strategy”: develop a PSTG Sub-Commodity and Procurement strategy together with the MFT Leader, under consideration of the Airbus Group / Airbus Procurement strategy and under consideration of the Supplier Strategy towards the concerned suppliers (including a complete market analysis and supplier assessments).
B. Conduct the following activities of A2133 “Supplier Selection and Contracting”: Initiate and plan the Call For Tender (CFT), Gather all required information for the CFT Pack, Propose recommended bidders for CFT to the MFT, Ensure NDAs are in place with suppliers, Issue the CFT to the suppliers, Clarify the suppliers queries, Receive supplier tenders, Negotiate contracts, Analyze proposals & evaluate suppliers, Conduct eAuction (if relevant), Coordinate Selection Report Issuance through the CFT members and Ensure selected contract final signature by Airbus.
C. Conduct, or contribute to, the activities of A2134 “Supplier Monitoring and Contract Management”: Implement contract / business relationship, Monitor supplier performance in cooperation with QSC, Manage contract execution (guarantee compliance between contract terms and conditions and the activities conducted by the Supplier) and contract amendments (including integration of evolution requests), Negotiate change requests and Ensure associated ordering (NRC ordering and Master Data Management), Conduct all relevant activities of the contract expiry/termination steps and activities resulting of suppliers failure of the contract performance. The jobholder shall also proactively manage risks as per AP5259 and manage deviations and litigations by taking appropriate actions to protect Airbus' interest.
D. Contribute to AOP elaboration within her/his scope of activities.
E. Conduct, or contribute to, all projects impacting the contractual terms and conditions for the products and/or suppliers under his/her responsibility, eg: Value Creation (P8/P8+) projects, Transfer of Work projects, claims or liabilities management. The job holder works with representatives of other functions in accordance with business requirements.
F. The job holder supports the definition and implementation of supplier rating and PS initiatives in close cooperation with PSY.
G. Deliver the Purchasing Plan (including Value Creation projects) within his/her scope of activity.

• Efficient project management
• Effective negotiator with proven commercial and contractual background and legal awareness
• Financial key indicators knowledge
• Experience in Airbus cost reduction initiatives
• Ability to drive improvement & innovation to concrete results
• In depths know-how of the Aerostructure market and supplier strategies for his/her perimeter
• Proven in communication, especially with supplier representatives
• Effective management of customer expectations and stakeholders
• Negotiation level in English.
