A vacancy for a A400M Supportability Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Airbus Defence & Space Getafe (ex Airbus Military). The successful applicant will join TASSE2 department.

Tasks & accountabilities

Missions and activities
¤ Supportability main role is to ensure that the a/c design fulfills contractual commitments, customer expectations & current standards with regard to maintainability, operational reliability and maintenance economics. To achieve this, supportability works in concurrent engineering with Design Office and performs analysis to evaluate the design against these goals and identify possible improvements
¤ Supportability deliverables contribute as source data for other services areas flow of work and deliveries
¤ Supportability also provides support to solve in service issues and customer queries impacting its area of specialty.

Main tasks of the jobholder are:
¤ Establish and agree with the Design Office and Suppliers the Supportability Requirements and ensure that they are implemented in the design.
Supportability Requirements are dealing with aircraft system and equipment Maintainability and Operational Reliability requirements.
¤ Perform Maintainability, Operational & Mission Reliability, Availability and Maintenance Economics Analysis. Maintainability analyses require the use of CATIA and Airbus corporative tools.
¤ Perform Maintainability Demonstration (On-Aircraft and with Digital Mock-Up).
¤ Attend Design Reviews with Design Office and Customers
¤ Link to Design Offices (concurrent engineering) and Suppliers regarding Supportabiliy issues (requirements, deliverables)
¤ Support to other areas in Customer Services (Programmes, Technical Publications, Materiel Services)
¤ Responsible for Supportability data in Logistics Data Bases
¤ Support to the Customer offers preparation.
¤ Answer Customer queries dealing with Supportability issues
¤ Perform Level Of Repair Analysis

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
·  Experience in managing people and conflicts.
·  Advanced level in English.
·  Advanced level in Spanish.
·  German or French would be an asset.
·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
·  Able to propose new ideas.
