Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

Develops agile software engineering (DevOps) skills within the product domain and leads a team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Implements technical enablement platforms and tools for the product domain. Interacts with Central Technical Enablement team to understand, configure and deploy tools in the domain.
· Guardrails for DevOps capabilities and processes within the product domain. Ensures that the teams follow DevOps standards and methods. Ensures that all teams have adequate controls to ensure quality of vendor delivery.
· Develops DevOps skills in the domain. Continuously enhances capabilities in his team to ensure people extend their profiles to cover neighbor competencies, e.g. Development and QA. Ensures resources receive necessary training.
· Fosters team exchange to ensure use of DevOps best practices across teams.
· Provides advice and guidance to database designers and others using the data structures and associated components.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

· Strong experience in delivering in a DevOps operating model.
· Strong knowledge of frameworks and tools for development, testing and operations.
· Ability to think strategically end-to-end from technical perspective.
· Strong communication and team building skills

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

· College or university degree with focus on IT or equivalent.
· Min. 7-10 years of IT experience, at least 7 in software engineering
· Min. 3 years experience in managing teams.
