I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Owner to join the Civil Nuclear Constabulary at their Offices in Griffin Park, Seascale Cumbria

This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday. This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office 2 days at home.

We are looking for an individual with In-depth knowledge of the assigned product technology - including Microsoft's M365 platform and workflow tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps in the Microsoft Power Platform - Real Microsoft M365 experts within the Public Sector

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO THE POLICE VETTING AND SECURITY CLEARANCE CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IF YOU HAVE NOT MET THIS CRITERIA.

JOB PURPOSE -

·  The Product Owner is focused on ensuring the product value stream delivers both business and customer value. In their role they are responsible for the entirety of the product lifecycle, including design, delivery, and operations. They are the primary business representative and act as the bridge between the business and technology organisations.

·  The Product Owner is a senior role that must be empowered and have an astute ability to negotiate, particularly in making decisions around priority scope and requirements with impacted business stakeholders. As the key interface between the business and technology Product Owner's require exceptional stakeholder engagement, ensuring they are clear on customer needs and can effectively prioritise to ensure a continuous valuable flow from the team.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

·  Shape a vision for the Product's growth that engages the business and technology and feeds into the business strategy.

·  Build a clearly understood Product roadmap that reflects customers desires and captures the imagination of the business and technology.

·  Ensures appropriate engagement with the business to improve understanding of delivered technology.

·  Promotes and leads a culture of innovation and experimentation, with the freedom to iterate and develop ideas, both within the Product and across the wider organisation.

·  Provide insight to relevant stakeholders on costs and funding to continue Product development and growth.

·  Ensures the product teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritisation, team accountability, and visibility.

·  Proactive sharing of knowledge to drive technology learning, understanding and appreciation across the business.

·  Engages with the business to understand needs and the business outcomes to be met.

·  Aligns business outcomes to product vision and communicates vision and product roadmap to key stakeholders.

·  Provides ongoing assurance that products are being designed, implemented, managed, and improved in a way that continuously delivers business value.

·  Creates, maintains, prioritises, and sequences the product backlog based on business value or Return on Investment (ROI).

·  Creates user stories and acceptance tests.

·  Prioritises and schedules user stories by business value.

·  Participates in project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, delivery and release planning, demos, and other Product-related meetings.

·  Maintains product feature backlog and coordinates delivery of features with the Product Delivery Lead.

·  Engages with other Product Owners to proactively share good practice and lessons learned.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Knowledge:

·  In-depth knowledge of the assigned product technology - including Microsoft's M365 platform and workflow tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps in the Microsoft Power Platform - their ability to enhance business processes, good practices, and business and technology trends.

·  Understanding of Agile and lean methodologies as well as IT expertise.

·  Broad understanding of IT topics such as cloud products and platforms, micro-service architectures, automation, and API integration.

Skills:

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·  Ability to navigate and build connections within organisations, to influence and drive results in cross-functional teams.

·  Comfortable with shifting viewpoints to discern new insights from a variety of perspectives.

·  Demonstrable problem-solving skills.

·  Demonstrable organisational skills.

·  Passionate about effecting changes, identifying, and resolving tensions.

·  Technical proficiency in utilising Azure services to design and deliver solutions.

Experience:

·  Experience leading projects in Agile and/or DevOps environment.

·  Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.

·  Experience in leveraging cloud technologies to deliver applications/solutions.

·  Experience managing M365 including services such as SharePoint, Exchange, MS Teams, and/or other collaboration solution delivery tools.
