Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North comprises a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort boasts panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

Job Description

Plumber

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all plumbing systems and related mechanical equipment in the waterpark.

·  Able to maintain, fault find, and repair rides piping system, pool filtration systems, chemical dosing systems, cooling systems (cold/hot water), pumps, calorifiers, pressurization vessels, and valves
·  Install and maintain fixtures and other appliances associated with heating, cooling, and sanitation systems
·  Able to cut, weld, and assemble pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures
·  Plan and schedule preventive maintenance of plumbing works in the waterpark
·  Maintain work tools in good condition
·  Able to perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
·  Able to provide technical direction and on-the-job training
·  Maintain daily logs and records while on duty, paper and electronic
·  Keep a correct inventory and write purchase order requests for items needed
·  Participate in the on-call program and respond both by phone and in person as appropriate
·  Report all potential hazards, safety concerns, and accidents immediately 
·  Ensure effective communication and good relations between the engineering department and other departments in the water park
·  Comply with Health and Safety Regulations

Qualifications

·  Secondary / High school education
·  Qualification in Trades Technician level, variety of engineering/maintenance
·  Knowledge of pool plant filtration’s systems is required
·  Basic computer skills – ability to use BMS
·  Good proficiency in English language
