Extra Banquet Barback

 

Hotel Overview:  

Since 1907, The Fairmont has served as the San Francisco residence for U.S. presidents, world leaders and entertainment stars.  The landmark hotel offers 606 well-appointed guest rooms and suites, two distinctive restaurants, a health club and easy access to the city’s most popular attractions. Fairmont San Francisco is located atop Nob Hill at 950 Mason Street.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Banquet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

·  Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
·  Retrieve requisitions/orders from storeroom
·  Check BEOs for requisition accuracy
·  Ensure the bar is well-stocked and organized
·  Attend the bar throughout function
·  Provide engaging service whenever interacting with guests
·  Maintain cleanliness of bar throughout shift
·  Pick up glasses from reception/dinner area
·  Assist in product inventory - at end of shift and on monthly basis
·  Maintain positive attitude, sense of urgency and teamwork

 

Qualifications:

·  Previous barback experience perferred.
·  Excellent knowledge of all beverage products
·  Previous point of sale system experience an asset
·  Excellent communication and organizational skills
·  Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
·  Highly responsible & reliable
·  Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
·  Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
·  Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

 

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):  

·  Constant standing and walking throughout shift
·  Frequent lifting and carrying up but not limited to 20 lbs
·  Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
·  Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

 

Visa Requirements : Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
