Abbott Transfusion Medicine Division is looking for a

Student Help Bioprocess Engineering (m/f/d)

based in Wiesbaden.

The Bioprocess Engineering Team develops manufacturing processes and qualifies equipment in order to improve manufacturing capability, quality, and cost.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support development and qualification activities in Bioprocess Engineering
  • Contribute to process improvements in the production of biotechnology-based diagnostic products (immunoassays)
  • Focus areas: fermentation, protein purification & conjugation, bulking & mixing, analytical testing
  • Begin by executing experiments under supervision, eventually moving to designing and planning experiments independently
  • Follow current GMP and Quality requirements in laboratory and documentation work
  • Perform literature searches & document reviews
  • Track and evaluate production parameters
  • Timely and appropriate execution of activities to meet project milestones

Your Profile:

  • Student of scientific or engineering subject
  • At least two years of Bachelor courses incl. laboratory experience,
    completed B.Sc./ B.Eng. degree preferred
  • Fluent oral and written German and English
  • Hands-on knowledge of statistical data analysis tools (e.g. SAS JMP, Matlab)
    or programming skills (e.g. R, Python)
  • experience in GMP environment is a bonus
  • A teamplayer with a flexible, precise, and independent way of working
