JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:


We are recruiting for a Software Engineer II to join Abbott's Electro Physiology (EP) team. Our products provide cutting edge, advanced software to enable 3D cardiac models which help in diagnosing and treating cardiac disease. As a member of the team, you will be developing products that set the bar for clinical excellence and efficient workflow that reduce cost, improve quality, and increase access.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Write well-designed, testable code
  • Integrate software components into functional software system
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
  • Develop and maintain documentation to identify design, requirements and solutions
  • Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities
  • Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products
  • Collaborate with immediate team and cross-functionally with other program and business leadership teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, “STEM” (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), or related discipline
  • 4+ years C++ development
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Familiarity with all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies
  • Object Oriented Design Experience
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Software development tool experience such as Perforce, Jira, Jenkins
