JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Corporate Treasury Team located in Abbott Park, Illinois, currently has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst, Treasury FP&A.

What You Will Do:

Primary function is the Global Treasury consolidation of reporting and analysis for actual and planning cycles . In addition, this position is responsible for the daily support of International Treasury Operations and provides ad-hoc support as required by the DVP Treasury and Manager of Global Treasury Operations.

Additional responsibilities include:

·  Support monthly preparation and consolidation of Global Treasury reporting and commentary including identification of key business and market insights, risks and opportunities to include: Flash -  Monthly Actuals and LBE (Latest Best Estimate) forecasts
·  Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements and documentation support, including preparation and consolidation of quarterly reporting and commentary: Earnings Release Packages schedules for IR and CFR, Supporting schedules for Corporate Financial Reporting to include ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested to support 10K/10Q filings
·  Ensure compliance with counterparty banks by initiating interest payments on outstanding Long-Term Debt, preparing annual certificates to meet debt covenants, and maintaining appropriate documentation and accruals for Interest Rate Swap and Deferred Compensation Plan.
·  Work closely with Manager GTO to ensure new Debt issuances are recorded in SAP accurately and are amortized appropriately according to US GAAP.
·  Perform Abbott to Peer Comparisons by utilizing credit rating agency data and assist in building Board level presentations for DVP and Treasurer.  

Education and Experience You Will Bring:

Required

·  Education - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field.
·  Experience Reporting – Accounting/Finance 3-5 years.
·  Position requires individual to quickly identify variances to benchmark data and seek an understanding of variances.  Individual must be self-accountable and drive towards accuracy and innovation.  Must be mindful of due dates and anticipate deviations to them.

Preferred

·  The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, follow processes and make suggestions to improve existing protocol, and demonstrate analytical/problem solving skills is imperative.  This position requires strong communication skills and must work well with other disciplines and cultures.  Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Essbase, HFM and/or SAP is required.
