JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior Business Systems Analyst 

Description:

Primary liaison between the IT and business areas specifically functional organizations for a Manufacturing facility.  Applications experience with manufacturing solutions such as MES, ERP, and LIMS in a discrete and process manufacturing site is required.

Provides direct support to assigned business area to provide advice on solution alternatives for key areas of Manufacturing Operations, Engineering and Quality.  Experience supporting MES, ERP and Quality solutions is a mandatory requirement.  Experience with deployment and supporting integrations between ERP, MES, LIMS, Calibration Maintenance, Training and ESD system is mandatory.  

Works directly with clients and applies IT and applies IT and business knowledge and experience to formulate an IT solution for a business problem.  Candidate should be experienced with configuration of commercial solutions as well as custom developed applications.   

Leads department level projects or provides assistance to Program or Project managers on phases of a larger project.  Experience in analysis of manufacturing processes and metrics to work with business sponsors in recommending process improvements delivered with technology enhancements.  Knowledge and experience with implementing Six Sigma tool is a requirement.  Candidate has experience in manufacturing facilities working in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare organizations.  The analyst should be experienced with reviewing and writing manufacturing process documents to ensure MES workflows are developed and mapped within Camstar.

This position will build and maintain relationships between functional users, Software Quality Assurance and external IT providers.  works directly with business unit clients to understand specific business processes and needs and opportunities for improvement; identifies IT capabilities and information required to support the business processes and collaborates in the development of appropriate information management strategies, developing them as an integrated part of the business strategy.

Candidate will support existing applications deployed to production as well as major enhancements/upgrades to existing Camstar platform.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

Applies and executes standard information systems theories, concepts and techniques and assists in the development of standards and procedures.  Candidate will review business procedures to ensure alignment with software capabilities and recommend updates when needed.  

Investigates alternatives, which use existing applications and make recommendations.

Conducts tests; develops preliminary findings for review by management for software solutions supporting manufacturing such as Camstar, Maximo, ISOTrain ESD and ERP (Oracle e-Business is integration is highly desirable along with SAP integration).

Conducts training. 

Manages projects according to milestones and within budget constraints.

Identifies and implements process improvements. Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts. Manages relationships between clients involved and IT organizations to assure effective communication between the groups is occurring. Brokers services within IT community on behalf of customers; coordinates system solutions. Allies with other IT functional areas to remain current on project status, and inform customer management of progress; conversely, keeps IT managers aware of user issues and resolves conflicts.   
Establishes and maintains productive relationships with all levels in the IT and organization, business function, and with external partners.  

Works with minimal management direction.

Monitors and organizes the efforts of technical and business support staff.

Guides the efforts of less experienced staff.

 Independently conceives and develops general approaches to the solution of systems problems which require application of basic technical principles

Exercises latitude in the approach to problem solving

Work is reviewed for soundness of business judgment and to determine if overall results and objectives have been achieved

In specialized systems (i.e. Camstar) effectively set options to change the way the program works (configuration responsibilities).

Determines and develops approach and solutions to problem.

Primary support to project and IT staff related to SLC, validation and compliance process and procedures.

Applies IT and Compliance knowledge and experience to analyze requirements against test cases, reviewing  and approving test cases.  

Leads the IT Compliance activities within a project or multiple projects within a single client area.

Understand customers’ business objectives and system requirements and work closely with customers to determine their strategic information requirements and measure performance against expectations. Assist in customer resolution.

Prepares and approves documentation per policy and procedure to support the certification of an application/system.

Core Job Responsibilities

Translates information from requirement documents/discussions into viable test cases and executes testing

Develops system documentation (test plans/strategies, other SLC documentation) in support of validation activities 

Leads the development and execution of test plans. Communicates project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate status to Project team.

Performs work using standard methodologies, processes and tools to ensure IT Compliance.

Resolve issues that may delay the project or otherwise subject the company to financial or regulatory risk. 

Establishes project tasks and timelines and is held accountable to them.

Errors or failure to achieve expected results may result in project delays and / or the expenditure of more resources than was planned

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree, No advanced degree required

4-7 years of IT experience

Experience with manufacturing solutions such as MES, ERP, and LIMS in a manufacturing site is required.
