Contribute to and take ownership of small IT initiatives. Expected to be actively analysing and proposing solutions to problems and/or business requirements. Provide estimates, propose and get agreements for solution design to the IT director/CEO.
Coding & OpenERP Configuration:
Agree on deliverables, manage own priorities and develop according to software lifecycle guidelines established by the IT Director. Ensure all deliverables follow the entire process and the standards set in the guidelines. Ensure all deliverables are on time.
Documenting:
Ensure all code and processes introduced through IT initiatives are documented thoroughly.
Code Review & Testing:
Be committed to developing according to the quality standards, the lifecycle process (including testing), and code review guidelines. Be diligent in using unit testing to confirm all development does what it is meant to do.
Mentoring:
The OpenERP developer is expected to handle complex initiatives, enforce the guidelines, mentor other members of the development team; lead sub-teams and is comfortable with taking a more standalone role.
