Job description

1) OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
As an HRIntern, you will be exposed to multiple areas of HR including recruiting, training, employee and labor relations, and compensation and benefits. You will have the opportunity to participate as a valuable member of the group by working directly with an assigned mentor to complete an assigned project, assist HR Business Partners and other members of the HR department including preparing investigation notes, maintaining personnel files of current and terminated employees, reviewing and revising job descriptions and company policies as needed.

2) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Assist with various procedures
B. Sort and file data
C. Retrieve data from files as needed
D. Organize information and prepare presentations
E. Attend meetings related to the project or department
F. Maintain, order, and distribute office supplies
G. Perform other duties as required to support the HR team

3) QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

A. Knowledge and Skills:
I. Strong written and oral communication skills
II. Proficient knowledge of and the ability to use a personal computer
III. Demonstrate strong skill in other database usage as required
IV. Must be innovative and must take initiative
V. Must have attention to detail and strong organizational skills
VI. Ability to perform accurate filing using alpha numerical system
VII. Proficiency in MS Office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc).

B. Education:
Must have associates degree. Preferred candidate will be currently enrolled in an accredited program in upper level classes.

C. Communication Skills:
Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
