Position Description


Within Complete Vehicle, Aftermarket Technology, more specifically in Service engineering and info management (SEIM), we are offering a Maintainability Engineer mission.


We are developing optimized Aftermarket service and repair solution like standard times, procedures, and service contracts for all Volvo Group truck brands. By documenting, pushing, and verifying Aftermarket needs in projects, we safeguard uptime and customer business.
Service contract developers, service engineers, special tool design engineer, and maintainability engineers compose the department.
In the heart of soft products part from the transport solution, we are using cutting edge technologies, like Virtual reality and Augmented reality to verify and validate Trucks products. And, also to design and engineer the future of our aftermarket products.


In your Aftermarket Maintainability engineer position, you will be involved from the beginning into product project from vehicles and components, and be the one
·  Understand targets from project prerequisites
·  Translate requirements into measurable objectives, like standard times. Write and follow-up those in requirement management tool
·  Verify and validate concepts and solutions from maintainability perspective (mainly virtually from CAD data)
·  Perform virtual simulation and analysis of maintenance operations, in some cases using VR and/ or AR
·  Participate to competitor benchmarks
·  Capture the experience during the project and handover to Service engineers who is in charge of repair procedures Knowledge acquired within the position will give you the opportunity to be technical leader on the complete truck when it comes to uptime and serviceability.

You will also be part of advanced engineering activities through participating to System and component teams (SCT). In this part of the mission, you will be step in as AMT representative, meaning that you shall cover as well spare parts and diagnostics, and will be member of AMT platform team.


You are graduated Msc in mechanical engineering.

You have interest in new technologies like e-Mob products, but also new immersive working techniques. Your curiosity lead you to develop a strong technical culture, and allow you to be force of proposition in design for aftermarket needs.

You are able to work in multi-cultural and multi-site context (Sweden, India, Brazil, USA and Japan), and you have a good english speaking level ( level B1, mini 55 points Bulats or 750 points Toeic ).

Your leadership, networking and negotiation skills are great assets for this job.
