Who You Are & What You'll Do:

The individual will be responsible for the design and delivery of primary and secondary packaging for innovation, renovation, sustainability and cost savings initiatives. You will manage multiple development projects and prioritize tasks based on timelines. You will deliver effectively in a cross-functional team environment by working with Brand, Planning, Formulation, Procurement, Quality, and many external suppliers. The position will also interface with Supply Chain for manufacturing scale-up including line trials, production start-ups, cost savings, and improving line efficiency. The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams is essential.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

· B.S. Degree (Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineer, Plastics Engineer, Material Science, or equivalent) and 2-4 years' experience in the packaging field, preferably in the personal care products industry.
· Broad packaging component knowledge and experience in rigid, bottles, closures and flexible packaging
· Must demonstrate understanding of package development process and engineering principles; including global packaging experience.
· Must demonstrate ability to design and develop primary and secondary packaging components that meet consumer, brand, customer, and manufacturing objectives.
· Must be able to demonstrate a general understanding of project management to realize the order, importance, and impact of appropriate project activities and maintain packaging commitments to project scheduling.
· Must understand consumer, business, and category needs and the relationship to packaging decisions & execution. An entrepreneurial mindset is beneficial.
