Structural Engineer

We are looking for a Structural Engineer with a few years' experience working in structural engineering and ideally exposure to onshore/offshore structural steel engineering design tasks.


Introduction to the Job

As part of a small team you will be responsible for servicing project requirements and onshore/offshore structural engineering design tasks based on instructions received from your Project Lead/ Manager. You will be responsible to perform conceptual, FEED, detailed engineering studies and project work along with identifying requirements specified by the client. Your ability to perform tasks within assigned budget and time-frames will be paramount.

ยท  Undertake onshore/offshore structural discipline engineering tasks as required by project and tenders
ยท  Originate engineering deliverables to meet project, statutory and TechnipFMC Group rules to project schedule. This may include preparing requisition documents for various equipment packages, preparation of specifications, technical bid evaluations or calculations as required
ยท  Review engineering deliverables as required by TechnipFMC Group check process
ยท  Be effective, efficient and fit for purpose in the delivery of solutions and documents
ยท  Participate in formal or informal reporting to Discipline Lead on progress of engineering tasks, lessons learnt and resources
ยท  Maintain a schedule for assigned work scope and associated deliverables as required
ยท  Assist Structural Engineering on Discipline Manager in development of Discipline Engineering Technical Notes and Guidelines

You are meant for this job if
ยท  You're Engineering Degree qualified
ยท  Demonstrable knowledge of onshore/offshore structural engineering
ยท  Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
ยท  Show respect for co-workers and a willingness to proactively address multi-disciplinary problems and an ongoing commitment to self-improvement
ยท  Consistently shows the ability to encourage others to develop new skills and enhance existing skills through the use of listening, understanding, coaching and feedback
ยท  Exceptionally organised with the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and deliver on time.
ยท  Displays a high regard for safety and demonstrates the TechnipFMC core values at all times
