Job Summary
As Piping Proposal Engineer you perform all piping design activities for proposals/ project's conceptual phase related to Plotplan development, basic 3D modeling and preparing 2D drawings and MTO's. You advise / support / assist other Piping Designers with the performance of their assignments.
You optimize piping layout to achieve lowest possible quantities and consequently cost, but without compromising on safety, quality and project requirements. Furthermore, you advise the Departmental Manager in maintaining piping design work instructions and standard drawings.

Job Requirements
General Tasks
Is aware and cares for Health, Safety & Environmental aspects during daily actions, and drives HSE performance throughout project and or internal/ external services activities.

·  All piping design activities for proposals / project's conceptual phase related to Plotplan, basic 3D modeling and preparing 2D drawings and preparing MTO's.
·  Advise / support / assist other Piping Designers with the performance of their assignments.
·  Optimize piping layout to achieve lowest possible quantities and consequently cost, but without compromising on safety, quality and project requirements.
·  Advise DM in maintaining piping design work instructions and standard drawings.
·  Advise / support / assist the (Sr.) Piping Engineer in any proposal / project early works activity at his request.
·  Coordinate together with piping engineer transfer of design work from proposal/ project's conceptual phase to project team
·  Perform 2nd pair of eyes of design work during project execution
Specific Tasks

·  Incorporate Customer technical requirements in project related piping standards and drawings.
·  Prepare 2D plotplans and elevations.
·  Perform basic 3D equipment modeling of plant equipment, pipe racks and supporting structures, cable trays, instruments etc.
·  Prepare piping layout by 3D modeling of piping systems and supporting.
·  Assist the (Sr.) Piping Engineer in coordinating piping design related design issues with other engineering disciplines.
·  Prepare piping materials related MTO's.
·  Use the available design review checklists.
·  Incorporate lessons learned (Quality Deviation Lists, Quality Improvement Points).

·  Benelux Policies as laid down in Procedures, Work Instructions and Guidelines.
·  Adherence to QHSES regulations and the Code of Conduct
·  Execute ad-hoc assignments as given by or endorsed by the Manager/ Vice President.
·  Adequate coordination with other departments and disciplines is required to ensure an
·  efficient and effective project execution with a minimum of disturbance.
·  It is the responsibility of the employee to stay up to date in his/her specialty
