Job title – Structural Engineer

Job purpose :

· 
Basic and detailed engineering of offshore structures

· 
Provide technical and project execution services

Reporting lines and interactions:

·  Functionally reports to: HOD-Structural

Key interactions (internally, externally):
· 
Internally:Lead Discipline Engineer, Other site discipline field engineers

· 
Externally:Sub-contractors, vendors.

Job scope (budget, management, specific criteria): Accountability for day to day site engineering issues.

Profile:
Must have:
·  Bachelor degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering
· 
Minimum 5 to 10 years' design consultancy experience of offshore platforms

·  Expertise on SACS
· 
Familiarity with International codes and standards – API RP 2A, AISC, DNV

· 
Excellent communication skills (both writing and speaking)

Nice to have:
· 
Post-Graduation in Offshore Engineering / Ocean Engineering (Preferable)

·  Experience in GRLWEAP, STAAD Pro., ANSYS, MOSES
· 
Experience in the design of floating offshore structures

Main Accountabilities :
·  Performing structural analyses and design
·  Design of Fixed offshore platforms
·  Jacket
·  Topside
· 
In-place fatigue analysis (both deterministic and spectral)

·  Re-assessement of existing platforms
· 
Design for transportation, lift, on-bottom stability

·  Design of boat landing,
·  Design of protector structures
· 
Design of different types of connections, pad-eyes, clamps etc.,

·  Miscellaneous brown field Design Works
·  Checking of engineering reports and drawings
·  Preparation of design basis
