Job Overview and Responsibilities:

This is an opportunity for a VIE in the USA, also known in the US as the French International Postgraduate Internship Program.

This position will be responsible for developing and analyzing market intelligence to support the development of market strategies and actions for the Novecare Oil & Gas business.  Develop and track marketplace/competitive information; research the marketplace and gather competitive information; gather product, market and trend data to fully understand segments, competitive strategies and customer projections.

·Conduct market surveys/studies in support of business strategy development and deployment.

·Competitive analysis (strategy, position, strengths, weaknesses, anticipated next moves).

·Develop information on trends, competitors, opportunities, and barriers for entry.

·Provide analysis and insight to commercial team on product demand and forecasts with emphasis on quarterly/annual sales volumes and profits.

·Develop marketing tools and content for commercial team and execute promotional strategies for products and services.

·Internal analysis of Solvay's position in market and options for growth.

·Identify new markets for new or existing products.

·Improve knowledge management systems and ability to capture market information.

·Prepare charts, graphs, presentation materials to capture market data, and trend analysis for use in development of business plans, market segmentation, and customer profiles.

·Special Projects as requested.

Education and Experience:

·Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Engineering.

Skills:

·Advanced skills in systems and PC applicationsand experience with analytical tools.Ability to create spreadsheets, perform queries of systems and trend results.

·Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze market intelligence and create comprehensive data spreadsheets for management reports.

·Good interpersonal and strong oral and written communications skills required to work with management levels, team members, sales and customers.

·Project management skills with initiative and ability to work with general guidance to keep projects on target.

·Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, ability to work independently as well as a team environment.

·Strong problem solving skills and initiative needed to use all resources available to gather information.

·Some travel required.
