Your environment

Within the Global Finance business (GLFI), you will join the Technology, Media and Telecom Finance team in Madrid. Fluency in Spanish and English is compulsory.

Mission of the TMT Finance team is to structure and provide tailor-made financing debt solutions on a worldwide basis to its clients in the Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) sector. Our clients include investment grade and non-investment grade companies, and financial sponsors. TMT Finance Group works closely with other units of SG Group with a view to (i) anticipate potential business opportunities (ii) advise and provide tailor-made financing solutions including but not only debt solutions (iii) structure debt solutions, execute & book loans if any. Against this background we undertake a proper credit risk analysis for the potential targets, assess the debt capacity and develop a financing structure and arrange and underwrite loans and bond solutions.

The local team is working closely with Paris and London based TMT teams, Paris based risk office and Madrid based loan syndication teams. There is a close interaction with DCM, ECM, Rating Advisory and M&A teams.

Your role

At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Finance entity of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. We provide our issuer clients (corporates, financial institutions, public sector) with capital raising solutions, along with structured financing and commodities, forex and interest rate hedging. Developing tailor-made products and providing strategic advice (capital structure advisory, financing schemes and capital markets) based on our worldwide expertise and in-depth sectorial knowledge, we aim to meet their financing needs. We are a top player across euro debt capital markets and won many international accolades over the years as a worldwide leader in export, project and natural resources & energy finance.

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities :

·  Cash blow modelling and risk analysis
·  Preparation of credit papers and pitches
·  Data search and market intelligence
·  Involvement in the administrative tasks around the loan execution
·  Support to the team with work to be done on the existing credit loan portfolio, including risk monitoring
·  Cooperation with other GLFI business lines in the different topics
·  Active assistance of senior originator on other potential tasks related to the business

A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.
