MISSION :

Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) islooking for an Associate ( 3-5 years of experience)to provide the information, analysis and execution needed to carry out assignments in M&A and ECM in Madrid.

Origination :
- Working on pitches:
- Searching and providing company, sector and market information, using every media available: Internet providers of databases (Reuters, Datastream, Bloomberg, Factiva and other through Internet), corporate WebPages, news, press, former studies and assignments…
- Analysing and processing the information
- Providing valuation analysis through different valuation methodologies
- Providing recommendations and other added value information
- Elaborating credentials of the M&A department
- Working on Client Clearance notes to be accredited by Paris: - Description of the transaction, companies involved, market situation, details of the mandate, etc.… 

Execution :
- Analysis - Content depending on the companies, the sector, and the deal
- Attending conference calls
- Valuation of the company or companies involved
- Technical modelization on Excel using several tools
- DCF, comparable transactions, comparable quoted companies, etc.
- Contact and co-ordination with the client or external advisors (lawyers, auditors, consultants) once the M&A team has been mandated

Profile

CANDIDATE PROFILE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Graduate with strong financial background
Required experience between 3 and 5 years in Corporate Finance ie M&A and ECM or eventually Acquisition or Leverage Finance coming from one of the leading banks in this industry: JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Goldman, Citi, UBS, HSBC, Lazard, Rotschild,…
Ability to work under pressure & ability to accommodate any additional hours as required Good team player, Ability to analyze, synthesize and write.

Job knowledge and technical skills:
M&A Process / industry knowledge Demonstrates execution capabilities in various M&A transaction processes (buyside, sell side, IPO, etc.) Shows project management skills: is able to wrap up the key basics in the process, to guide a team Autonomous on most aspects/tasks of an execution Develops industry/sector knowledge; Understands key industry trends, valuation metrics in the sector Drafting skills on marketing presentations, legal documentation

Technical skills:
Excellent command of Office tools, advanced modeling skills Ensures reliability of all analyses and figures Excellent knowledge of Corporate Finance concepts Advanced valuation knowledge Show public tender offer knowledge Knowledge of other M&A related products (ECM, financing) Advanced accounting knowledge, legal knowledge
