Responsibilities


Major accountabilities & responsibilities:

·  Manage global order book
·  Market making to global and regional customer base during Asian time-zone
·  Required to do rotational shift hours and early shift coverage (base on team arrangement/manager request)
·  Backup other traders, help to source collateral from Asia in a profitable manner
·  Quantitative analysis of market behaviour of financial instruments to implement the best hedge strategies
·  Produce reports for Management (Position, Sensitivities, Market Data) and monitor risks across the desk
·  Liaise with other parties and departments sales, traders, management regionally/globally and other GBS functions risk control, back-office, IT, R&D, sales, traders) to implement new products and solutions Operational objectives:

·  Trading and manage positions and executions. In compliant with market making obligations if applicable, respect risk limits and correct overshoots in a timely manner.
·  Develop strong knowledge of Cross-Asset Products & Solutions and interacts daily with Sales, Engineers, Structuring and Trading. Participate to trainings sessions, product presentations.
·  Client Coverage & Sales: Assess client needs and develops and expands client coverage and relationships on cross-asset products with a focus on non-flow solutions. Seeks to onboard new clients and expand both new and existing sales mandates. Detects business opportunities arising from local regulations.
·  Market Intelligence: Has a clear view on the client segment, activity and industry trends to optimize and maximize our revenue generation and client coverage. Conveys market intelligence, relevant regulatory, legal, tax knowledge and issues to internal stakeholders, decision makers.
·  Team Work & cooperation: to ensure client business continuity, ensure effective team work within local/global requirements.
·  Reporting and Transparency: Reports meeting to different parties involved, enter information on client and meeting into IC or any other CMU tools and escalate/report any sensitive incidents or transactions to COO and/or direct manager and/or compliance.
·  Compliance & Risk Management: Respects the SG Code of Conduct and the Traders Handbook. Ensures that transactions respect regulatory environment (public offering rules, protection of investor's rules, KYC and other compliance rules) and SG internal polices & procedural guidelines and requirements.
·  Post-trade coordination: Coordinates with support functions and ensures the soundness and accuracy of the post trade process (bookings, documentation, risk consumption, etc)

Profile Required

Skills & Competencies Requirement:

·  Master degree in Finance, Business, Physics, Mathematics or related discipline
·  Experience in eFX & FX voice market-making and trading of other asset classes would be an advantage
·  Relevant product & market knowledge/experience and client base; be sensitive to latest market news and business knowledge
·  Experience in the financial services industry, servicing investment banks
·  High result orientation and working capacities
·  Autonomous and reliable and be able to work under minimal supervision
·  Ability to present the business at senior level both externally and internally
·  A strong team player and be able to work under pressure
·  Knowledgeable in using electronic trading platforms eg. EBS/Thomson Reuters or other platforms would be an advantage
·  To fulfil the licensing fit and proper requirement
·  To fulfil the requirements of Enhanced Competency Framework on Treasury Management under HKMA
