Responsibilities

Summary of key purposes of the role:

·  Trading assistant for the Emerging Markets market FX and IRD market making desk
·  Must be able to work and communicate well in a team
·  Ability to take own initiative on building expertise and on various projects
·  Develop internal markets monitoring tools
·  Close working relationship with sales, and developing better client contacts, including trade idea generation, and regular client visits with sales & strategy.
·  Close working relationship with support functions such as IT, pricing teams, risk, MO and BO.

Summary of key responsibilites of the role:

·  Understand the key elements that are driving Emerging Markets assets.
·  Prepare daily Risk, Pnl , market comments and refinancing reports
·  Support traders in daily reconciliation processes.
·  Develop and optimize pricers, and risk spreadsheets
·  Work to improve and optimise costs controls within the desk processes
·  Develop internal relationships with all our partners in order to better understand the trading operations.
·  Pass all necessary exams FCA trading exams
·  Trade fxswaps and treasury products in order to cover SG nostro positions in various EM currencies.
·  Price various IRD products, as well as understand all the risks, hedging, and booking of the deals

The VIE assignment in a nutshell:

This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com .

Profile Required

Your profile:

·  Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University in finance or maths (academic knowledge in statistics strongly appreciated)
·  IT literate (strong office knowledge particularly Excel, coding on VBA – or other - appreciated)-Fully bilingual (French/English, knowledge of a language from an emerging country such as Turkey, South Africa, Russia is a plus)
·  Ability to work under pressure
·  Strong sense of initiative
·  A genuine interest in financial markets
·  A team player
