Responsibilities

At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Finance entity of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. We provide our issuer clients (corporates, financial institutions, public sector) with capital raising solutions, along with structured financing and commodities, forex and interest rate hedging. Developing tailor-made products and providing strategic advice (capital structure advisory, financing schemes and capital markets) based on our worldwide expertise and in-depth sectorial knowledge, we aim to meet their financing needs. We are a top player across euro debt capital markets and won many international accolades over the years as a worldwide leader in export, project and natural resources & energy finance.

The Advisory & Financing Group (AFG) is part of the Investment Banking division and is responsible for the delivery of rating and acquisition finance-related services.
Financing activities for strategic acquisitions (excluding financing activities for acquisitions on the Technologies-Media-Telecom sector) for 'investment grade' and 'non-investment grade” clients:

- Financing of strategic acquisitions for Global Banking & Advisory corporate clients, as well as certain major French groups covered by the Retail Banking Network in France, which are identified by name
-Strategic analysis in terms of financing and optimisation of the client's capital structure, with the other Global Banking & Advisory Business Lines
-Strategic analysis in terms of financing of any requirement relating to a merger, demerger or any significant change to the client's scope of consolidation
Providing guidance to the Bank's corporate clients on external ratings and on questions related to rating agencies' methodologies, agency credit views and debt capacity benchmarking

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities :

-To be involved in the origination and execution of acquisition finance and/or rating advisory mandates.

-To actively participate in the provision of integrated debt structuring/capital structure/rating advisory/acquisition finance solution to key clients of the bank and in the promotion of SG's offer in loan and capital markets, in close connection with coverage and corporate finance.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.

Profile Required

Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University, majoring in Finance.

Strong credit/rating analysis and origination skills

Financial modelling (advantageous)

Strong accounting and finance understanding

You are fluent in English.

You are proficient in Office application.
