Job Description

We are looking for an R&D frontend engineer who will contribute to the software development of next generation products and solutions incorporating data analytics for their improved performance, reliability and best in class quality. Becoming a part of a global Digitalization team will allow you to cooperate and exchange experience with software developers around the globe.

What are responsibilities?

We consider candidates with various experience and skills ranging from young talented specialists till experienced and innovative developers. The responsibilities vary depending on experience of the candidate.

General areas of responsibilities cover:

·  Development of new web based applications for Siemens Big Data platform (Mindsphere)
·  Design, develop and maintain code base and architecture
·  Work closely with backend developers to solve technical challenges of data processing and visualization
·  Work in a team using agile development methodologies such as Scrum, KANBAN
·  Continuous improvement of the tools and processes used by the team

What are requirements?

·  Experience in commercial software development with Javascript (3-5+ years)
·  Experience with frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
·  Experience with modern web technologies and libraries (HTML5, Websocket, Webworker, Webstorage, CSS3, Sass, Less, Compass, Bootstrap, etc.)
·  Proven ability to solve challenging problems by utilizing innovative non-conventional approaches
·  Continuous learning and adoption of the newest technologies from the world of open source software
·  Communication skills and readiness to work in a team as well as individually
·  Ability to switch between different tasks
·  Upper intermediate English

Would be beneficial:

·  Experience in
·  Android/iOS development, mobile hybrid technologies (e.g. Ionic)
·  Modern web UI languages and technologies (CoffeeScript, TypeScript or others)
·  Visualization libraries (e.g. d3.js, c3.js, Chart.js)
·  Design and implementation of interactive and responsive web applications, optimization of highload applications
·  CI/CD and test automation (e.g. Cypress.io, Selenium, Protractor)
·  3D visualization (e.g. WebGL, Three.js, Babylon.js)
·  Backend programming (Node.js)
·  UX/UI design
·  Contribution to journals/blogs/professional community resources
