Performance Controller

Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock Business Unit is seeking a Performance Controller / Senior Financial Analyst for our growing and dynamic manufacturing site in Sacramento, California. You will be an integral member of this highly visible, dynamic and hard-working team. The qualified candidate will possess a BS/BA in Finance or related discipline and have 5+ years previous experience in Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis ideally in a Multinational Controlling environment.

As the Performance Controller supporting one of our business segments, you will be responsible for reporting transparency and ensuring processes like Forecasting, Budgeting, Month End Closing, and Performance Review are completed timely and accurately.

Responsibilities

· Coordinate planning process, including the monthly forecast process as well as annual budget process. Ensure process and content alignment with headquarter in Germany and the country management in New York

·  Analyze and comment on variances between actual and forecast. Monitor key performance indicators and business performance and creates regular reports to management.
·  Advise management and make suggestions based on regular analysis of trend, variance, and structure of profitability, assets, liabilities, cash, etc.
·  Support ad hoc requests as needed to drive organizational performance
·  Ensure month end closing activities are completed on time and that our books and records are accurate, auditable, and in compliance with Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines and IFRS.
·  May be assigned one or more cost centers to provide support

· May also contribute to the (further) development of concepts and standards in the area of expertise based on operational experience.

·  Serves as back-up for other Financial analysts position within the department

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

·  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
·  Highly developed analytical skills and detail-oriented work style
·  Advanced knowledge of financial analysis and documentation methods to consolidate and validate large quantity of information and complex business issues
·  Ability to effectively manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking. Proven work experience under pressure
·  Strong collaboration skills to manage multiple stakeholders
·  Solid understanding of annual budgeting and rolling forecast process
·  Understanding drivers of productivity, growth, and cost saving initiatives.
·  Effective communication and presentation skills
·  Advanced knowledge of FI/CO transactions and procedures in SAP ERP and Hyperion
·  Advanced skills in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

· Prior experience in Performance Controlling or Project Controlling or Commercial Project Management Preferred
