Job Description:

Position Overview:
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for proactive collaboration with customer and key internal business partners. This role requires independent thinking and actions in handling the payroll analysis and validations. They must understand the pay practices for all businesses supported. Knowledge of state legal requirements, pay regulations, overtime compliance, and ability to process tax adjustments, W-2s, W-2cs is important. Determine process improvement actions, develop plans and implement those actions across end to end methodology.

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the review, analysis and validation of payroll for the multiple Siemens Operating Companies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
· Analysis and validation of payroll processing results using technology - reports and macros
· Perform audits of data prior to payroll completion and follow all established controls
· Complete post payroll audits and reporting, prepare metrics and track errors
· Root cause analysis and constructive and preventative actions using CAPA-s
· Over-payments calculations and collection
· Assist with complex payroll specific transactions
· Compile, analyze and provide data to support internal and external audits
· Apply documented rules, past practices, or instructions on an independent level
· Develop and ensure internal controls and processes are being followed
· Effectively identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to resolve
· Assist in the review of current payroll processes to identify areas of process improvements and standardization
· Ability to troubleshoot payroll processing issues, run and analyze reports
· Support transitions in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
· Respond to complex payroll related inquiries from customers or employees
· Communicate effectively with various levels of management to ensure high level of customer support and positive customer interactions.
· Work in a team environment coordinating with other team members in the processing of payroll
· Maintain compliance with all payroll related regulatory and Siemens requirements including effective internal controls

Required Knowledge/Skills Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree required
· CPP/FPC certification a plus
· 3+ years of experience in payroll related responsibilities
· Solid understanding of payroll knowledge and principles
· Understanding of payroll processing within a shared services environment
· Solid time management skills, ability to prioritize assignments in a dynamic work environment
· Proficient computer, organizational, analytical, research and problem solving skills
· Advanced Excel level, proficient with all other Office applications
· Complete self-initiated training necessary to remain current on payroll practices relevant to the Siemens Operating Company supported
· Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud or ERP systems highly preferred
· Ability to troubleshoot payroll processing issues, run and analyze reports
· Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new things
