This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an Electrical Engineering/Computer Science Co-op you will be responsible for :

·  The selected co-op student will have the opportunity to learn about how radiation detectors, specifically PET detectors, operate in detail.The student through test and support from Engineers and Physicists within Detector Research and Development will learn how to analyze and process acquired data using custom written software (C/C++, Python, SQL data bases, etc.) to evaluate PET detectors and system performance.
·  In your activities you will work with data scientists to create custom software tools, conduct testing, report findings, and provide improvement recommendations based on observation and learning.

·  You are in your senior year of a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science.
·  You are familiar with software development and data analysis
·  You have a good set of PC skills and programming languages (MS Office software, Windows and Linux OS, Programming languages: C/C++, Python)
·  You will be working with our latest technology and therefore you are willing to learn about new software and hardware solutions.
·  You have good presentation skills and you show team orientation and communication skills.
·  Must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher

Required skills to have for the success of this role

Technical experience to be applied during co-op:

·Processing and analysis of data sets using custom software written in C/C++ or Python language

·Development and verification of data analysis strategies

·Conducting data acquisition experiments

Task documentation experience to be applied during co-op:

·Proficient in design documentation including design specifications, concept records, minutes of reviews, test reports, etc.

·Presenting data to the scientific staff and creating a written report.
