Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as Animal Care Laboratory Technician

As an Animal Care Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for immunizing animals and collecting plasma or other materials used in support of manufacturing of in-vitro diagnostic assays.
·  In your activities you willhumanely handle and manipulate animals
·  You willperform the care and maintenance of animals to maintain compliance with Animal Welfare Regulations.
·  You willmonitor health of animals, provide routine healthcare, maintain animal health records and interact with attending veterinarian
·  You will perform routine preventative maintenance work to ensure a safe and clean laboratory and animal facility.
·  You will operate and perform adjustments to laboratory equipment and instruments.
·  You will perform routine documentation to meet cGMP.
·  You will perform maintenance of supply inventories.

·  Youcan effectively identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them,; referring only complex, unusual problems to others.
·  You have experience performing laboratory work, such as processing blood, plasma, and serum.
Required skills to have for the success of this role
·  Bachelor's degree preferably in Animal Science
·  Experience handling/ caring for large animals
·  Ability to inject animals and collect blood.
·  Ability to perform basic dilutions and prepare immunogens for animal injections.
·  Physical ability to handle large animals up to 150 pounds
·  Physical ability to handle 50 pound sacks of feed and 60 pound bales of hay or straw
·  Available to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
