Job description
EcoStruXure Power Senior V&V Engineer
As part of the growth of the EcoStruxure Power Innovation Lab, we would like to hire a System Test Engineer.Directly integrated within our EcoStruxure Power Lab Team which interferes during the different development stages of our projects. You will be incharge of
1. Managing the System Test Strategy:
- Responsible to define verification and validation test strategy in collaboration with System PDL and Marketing Leader. Makes the schedule optimization with the certification test plan.
- Leads, writes and optimizes tests plans, including simulation for Verification and Validation process.
- Collaborates with the certification engineer to optimize the certification tests schedule within the entire tests process.
-Builds the global test campaign schedule with the core team.
- Proposes with System PDL and/or System PQL test configuration needs, prototype needs and quantities with management of deviation according to planning versus supply chain maturity.
- Assigns the right labs according to test plan specifications, lab specifications and/or availabilities (for certification, takes into account certification manager recommendations)
- Supports purchasing to negotiate the best external lab costs.
2. Hosting Manage the quality process:
- Creates a master test dashboard to follow the test progress, consolidates and reports to the core team information as the completion rate, failure rate, associated risks.
- Organizes and leads the CCB (Change Control Board) to efficiently collect and assign priorities on identified issues-bugs and/or prototyping maturity. Follows and energizes the mitigation plans.
- Advise System PDL on tests maturity before each stage gate.
- Ensure the reliable traceability and archiving of samples / tests
3. Hosting and commiting on the Test execution:
- Manages and energizes the test activities across geographies to meet the project target (schedule, quality)
- Defines and monitors synchronization between tests and prototype versioning.
- Gathers, consolidates test labs planning (including simulation & Prototyping synchronization, test resources distribution between labs).
- Ensure test performance key element deliveries (specification, accessories, test set-up)
- Manages with the labs the sample dysfunction sheets or change request tracking tool (inform them about corrective actions) and implements the recovery tests in the schedule.
4. Hosting the deliveries:
- According to process, provides to the project team the tests documents required for making a decision: (Tests strategy, test plans, tests reports)
- Follows& energizes test reports execution and issuing, from different laboratories in any locations.
We are looking for a person with:
- Customer Applications knowledge of Small & Medium Buildings
- Project Management background
- High autonomy & pro-active behavior.
- Strong leadership & negotiation capability.
- System Engineering Approach
- High adaptation capability in a multi-cultural context.
- Electrical distribution and control & monitoring background. Scada (PME/PSE) will be a strong added value.
- Industrial automation background (M340, M580, Quantum,…).
- Protocol of communication background (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet IP,..).
- Team spirit
- English – Fluent
